Jr. high hoops

Youngsville (2-2) defeated Maplewood, 36-20, on Wednesday. For Youngsville, Autumn Hultberg led with 10 points, Caitlin Craig eight, Alanna Hultberg seven, Maddie Cratty six, and Paige Mineweaser five.

For Youngsville seventh-graders, a 22-9 winner Maplewood, Alanna Hultberg led with nine, Ireland Smith five, Christina Fischer four, and Megan Foley four. Erin Dunn played well defensively for Youngsville.

Youngsville’s eighth-graders defeated Titusville, 41-24, this weekend in the Corry Tournament. Autumn Hultberg had 14 points, Mineweaser 10, Craig nine, including a 3-pointer, Cratty six, and Alanna Hultberg two.

In a 30-17 Cambridge Springs, Craig led with eight, Mineweaser five, Cratty two, and Alanna Hultberg two.

In a 30-24 loss to Meadville, Autumn Hultberg led with seven, Mineweaser six, Alanna five, Craig four, and Cratty two.

Beaty’s eighth-grade girls beat Eisenhower, 45-12. Margo Loutzenhiser led Beaty with 16 points, Rachel Wilson added nine, Lindsay Goldthwaite and Taylor Lucks six each, Lily Morse four, and Morgan Lupole and Abby Bouchard two each. Samantha McKown had six points for Ike, Payton Mineweaser five points, and Sandra Richards one.

Beaty’s seventh-graders beat Eisenhower, 37-2. Gracie Wood had 13 points for Beaty, Laura Lucks eight, Lily Nebinski, Francesca Beuger and Kayla Giambrone four each, and Ceci Citro and Kadee Merenick two each in the win. Anna McJunkin had two points for Ike.

College news

Eisenhower High School graduate Kelsey Repke logged a team-best 11 digs, and added two aces, in Pitt-Bradford’s 3-2 women’s volleyball loss to Elmira Wednesday in Bradford.

Golf results

Deb Niederriter had the low gross of 47, and Jen Jones the low net of 32, in the Blueberry Ladies League Tuesday at Blueberry Hill Golf Course.
