Class to dine
Warren Area High School Class of 1966 will have dinner Saturday, Sept. 14, at 5:30 p.m. at Docksider’s Cafe located on Rt. 59 at Wolf Run Marina. Weather permitting, the group will be seated on the outdoor deck. Allegheny Center for the Arts has announced winners for the August page for the photo contest: “Feathering the Nest” by Mark Evans, first; “Taking Flight” by Alan Branthoover, second; and “Kinzua Heritage Festival” by Linda Gross, third. Photos are being accepted for September through December until Sept. 20. Photos can be sent to email@example.com.
Starbrick Community Church, 168 Weiler Rd., will have a special “Grandparents Day” service on Sept. 8 at 10 a.m. The children and adults will do chalk drawings to celebrate Grandparents Day. The pictures will be enhanced with colored lights. Christine Chase will present special music, and Zach Thompson play the guitar. The public is invited.
Discuss NYC trip
There will be another NYC meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 10, at 2 p.m. in the craft room of the Allegheny Community Center, 42 Clark St., Warren. A slight change in the agenda will be discussed. Those not signed up are welcome to attend along with those signed up to go on the Dec. 10 – 13 trip.
