22 cases handled in Warren County arraignment court

Bench warrants were issued for the arrest of two defendants, 14 others entered not guilty pleas, five entered guilty pleas, and one entered a plea of no contest during Warren County arraignment court proceedings Thursday before Judge Gregory Hammond.

Entering not guilty pleas were:

Reina Louise Champlin, Spartansburg, charged with recklessly endangering another person, disorderly conduct, confinement of dogs, and transfer of dog license or tags.

Jarred Elliot Danielson, 304 Water St., charged with DUI: highest rate of alcohol – first offense; restriction on alcoholic beverages; DUI: general impairment – first offense; and careless driving.

Jason Lawrence Harkins, 355 Main St., Box 184, Pittsfield, charged with DUI: highest rate of alcohol – first offense; DUI: general impairment – first offense; driving on roadways laned for traffic; driving vehicle at safe speed; careless driving; reckless driving; accidents involving death or personal injury; immediate notice of accident to police department; operation on streets and highways; and operation in safe manner.

Chauntae Jeffries, Pittsburgh, charged with receiving stolen property; false identification to law enforcement; fraudulent use or removal of registration plates; driving while under suspension; driving on roadways laned for traffic; and receiving stolen property.

Ashley Marie Johnson, 1646 River Rd., charged with DUI: controlled substances – first offense; DUI: combined alcohol and drug or combination of drugs; and driver required to be licensed.

Nicole Rae Johnson, 1027 Matthews Run Rd., Youngsville, charged with 10 counts of theft by deception; and 10 counts of bad checks; and, in a separate case, six counts of bad checks.

Paul David Kocur, Warren County Jail, charged with burglary; criminal trespass; and theft of services.

Scott Edward Muzzy, 9 N. Carver St., charged with terroristic threats; and disorderly conduct.

Colton James Parker, 115 North Rd., Sugar Grove, charged with 11 counts of forgery; and theft by unlawful taking.

James M. Patrick, 119 1/2 Canton St., charged with possession with intent to deliver; possession of drug paraphernalia; harassment; disorderly conduct; and possession of a controlled substance.

Martin D. Price, Osceola, charged with theft by unlawful taking; and unauthorized use of automobiles and other vehicles.

Robbie Lee Russ, Warren County Jail, charged with burglary; criminal trespass; theft by unlawful taking; and criminal mischief.

Brandon Eugene Towne, 419 Water St., Apt. 4, charged with DUI: highest rate of alcohol – first offense; DUI: general impairment – first offense; careless driving; and operation of vehicle without official certificate of inspection.

Richard A. Turner, 24 Maple St., Box 164, charged with DUI: highest rate of alcohol – first offense; DUI: general impairment – first offense; careless driving; and recklessly endangering another person.

Entering guilty pleas were:

Seth Daniel Clark, 124 Beaty St., guilty to criminal mischief. He faces a maximum penalty of one year of incarceration and a maximum fine of $2,500. Clark will pay full restitution in the case – $1,525.64.

Robert James Cochrane Jr., Olean, N.Y., guilty to theft by unlawful taking; receiving stolen property; and driving while under suspension. Additional charges of unauthorized use of automobiles and other vehicles; registration/certification of title; operation following suspension of registration; notice of change of name/address; theft by unlawful taking; and fraudulent use or removal of registration plates, were not prosecuted. Cochrane faces a maximum penalty of five years in jail and a maximum fine of $10,000 on the theft charge; a maximum of one year and $2,500 on the receiving charge; and a mandatory $200 on the driving while under suspension.

Margaret Ann Froman, 31 Jefferson St., Tidioute, guilty to retail theft. She faces a maximum fine of $5,000.

Steven Joseph Wedge, 600 Holly St., guilty to disorderly conduct. Additional charges of loitering and prowling at night time; open lewdness; and public drunkenness were not prosecuted. Wedge faces a maximum of one year in jail and $2,500 fine.

Matthew Robert Kuzminski, 3 Depot St., Box 133, Irvine, guilty to theft by unlawful taking or distribution. He faces a maximum of 10 years in prison and $25,000 fine.

Entering a plea of no contest was:

Randy L. Eck, 215 Cottage Park Lane, Box 325, Columbus, no contest to bad checks. He faces a maximum of one year in jail and $2,500 fine. Eck agreed to pay full restitution of $1,200.

Bench warrants were issued for the arrest of:

Merle E. Nosker, 213 E. Fifth Ave., charged with DUI: highest rate of alcohol – second offense; DUI: general impairment – second offense; general lighting requirements; and turning movements and required signals.

Nicholas Keith Bennett, 1430 Oil Creek Rd., Spring Creek, charged with receiving stolen property; driver required to be licensed; and careless driving.
