Labor Day at the

fairgrounds

It will be a busy Labor Day weekend at the fairgrounds in Pittsfield. Campsites are available to the public for the three-day weekend, and several events are planned. On Friday, there will be go-kart racing starting at 7 p.m. The former band “The Renegades” will reunite for one night at the First Niagara Pavilion on Saturday, Aug. 31, from 6 to 8 p.m. It has been many years since the band played together, and they would like to invite everyone to come out and help them share some memories from the past with their 50s and 60s style music. Ron Carrington and the Touch of Gold Band will play Sunday, Sept 1, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the First Niagara Pavilion. The concerts are free, but donations will be appreciated to help cover costs. For more information on camping or the concerts, call 730-2890. This is a wonderful way to help support the fairgrounds and enjoy a great holiday weekend at the same time.
