DUI. Warren-based police said Sharon L. Phelps, 43, Warren, was involved in a crash on Aug. 25 when her vehicle left the roadway on Jackson Run Road near its intersection with Logan Road, striking a railing and cement barrier along a small bridge. The crash caused minor damage to the bridge and disabling damage to the vehicle. Police said it was suspected that Phelps was under the influence of alcohol at the time of crash. Phelps was transported to Warren General Hospital for chemical testing and blood results determined her BAC to be above the legal limit. Charges against Phelps include two counts of DUI, careless driving, and other summary violations. Charges will be filed at District Justice Laura Bauer’s office in North Warren.

Glade Twp

Burglary. Warren-based police said between Aug. 16-25, someone gained entry into the storage barn behind PennDOT Stockpile 09 after pushing in the locked, wooden hanging doors. While inside, the intruder kicked in an interior wooden door, damaging the door, frame and lock hasp. The intruder then removed two pump style BB/pellet guns, a Craftsman mechanic tool set and a reciprocating saw/saws contained in a hard plastic case. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police or Warren County Crimestoppers.

Pittsfield Twp.

Found property. Warren-based police said between Aug. 25 and 26, a girl’s bicycle, helmet, boots and miscellaneous accessories were reported to be left in/near a residence garage at 1341 Old Pittsfield Rd. Anyone wishing to claim the items may contact the state police with a detailed description.

Sugar Grove

Theft. Warren-based police said on August 24, Karen R. Simmons, 42, Sugar Grove, had a produce stand in her front yard and had a variety of produce stolen on Aug. 24 in addition to a coffee can with at least $7 inside. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police or Warren Crimestoppers.


Underage drinking. Youngsville Borough Police said Jesse Haight, 19, Youngsville, was cited at 12:30 a.m. Sunday for consuming alcoholic beverages. He was a passenger in a motor vehicle driven by Devin Hendrickson of Irvine that was stopped at a sobriety checkpoint by the Warren County DUI Task Force. A nontraffic citation was filed at District Justice Cynthia Lindemuth’s office.

Underage drinking. Youngsville Borough Police said Liberty Hoffner, 19, Youngsville; Mystic Lindstrom, 19, Corry; and Alexander Miller, 19, Columbus, were all cited for underage drinking at. 12:15 a.m. Sunday after DUI Task Force officers determined all three minor passengers in a motor vehicle were consuming alcoholic beverages. Police said the driver was a 25-year-old male from Corry and another male, 31, was also a passenger in the vehicle. Charges have been filed with District Justice Cynthia Lindemuth.
