Pomona Grange obligates two

Christine Eck and Colleen Kosanovich from Forest Grange were obligated in the fifth degree by master Kelly Van Ord who presided over a recent meeting of Warren-Forest Pomona Grange.

Chris Eck was elected to the office filling out the term of the late Neva Anderson. Colleen Kosanovich was elected to a three-year term on the executive committee and Nancy Eck to a three-year term on the finance committee. All were installed by Van Ord.

Numerous reports were received including one from youth chairman Matt Irons who, along with his wife, Miranda, related their experiences participating in the reenactment of the 1873 first four degrees at the Kelley Farm in Minnesota.

Hollabaugh third; Lecturer’s Department: Photo’s-Close ups-Van Ord first, J.Hollabaugh second, Bob Hollabaugh third; Animals-Van Ord first; Funny Kids-Van Ord first, D.Hollabaugh second, B. Hollabaugh third; Seasonal-Van Ord first, B.Hollabaugh second, D. Hollabaugh third; My Favorite Anything-Wendy Winkels first. Watson Grange exhibit placed first.

Upkeep to the building such as handicapped accessible rest room has been done and the floor will be redone.

Miranda Irons and Deanna Hollabaugh will serve as delegates to the Pennsylvania State Grange session in October in State College.

Upcoming events include: Auction at the grange on the Warren County Fairgrounds Sept. 21 at 1 p.m.; chicken & biscuit dinner at Forest Grange on Oct. 5 beginning at 4 p.m.; auction on Oct. 12 at 1 p.m.; Pennsylvania State Grange in State College Oct. 19 – 21; Pomona audit to be done Oct. 26 at 10 a.m. at Watson: Auction at Grange on fairgrounds Nov. 2 at 1 p.m.; Pomona Meeting at 9 a.m. on Nov. 9; Turkey party at Watson Grange Nov. 9 with doors open at 6 p.m.
