Summer leg of Four Season Quadrathlon next weekend
The summer leg of the Four Season Quadrathlon will take place Labor Day Weekend at Chapman State Park.
From Saturday, Aug. 31 to Monday, Sept. 2 you can bring your own kayak or canoe to paddle around Chapman Lake and learn some things you never knew you didn’t know.
Canoe rentals will also be available at the concession stand on a first come first served basis. Canoes and tandem kayaks are $10 per hour and single-person kayaks are $7 per hour. Quantities are limited and wait time may be a factor.
The course will begin at the north end of the beach and participants will move counter clockwise around the lake to find each clue.
At the beginning of the course, maps will be available to help you more easily locate each red and white post containing clues along the course. When you’re done you can connect the dots to see what shape you’ve made. A cache box will be available with a token prize and a short survey we ask you complete (pencils will also be available). These surveys help us to improve this event and also give us an idea of how many participants we have for each season.
