Genevieve Maria (Castiglia) Flaisman, beloved wife of Lt. John Anthony Flaisman (retired Cleveland Fire Dept.) passed away on Sunday, August 18, 2013 at her residence on Sweeney Rd. in Sugar Grove. Genevieve was born in Oswego, N.Y. on January 13, 1911. She moved to Cleveland, Ohio and met her husband John, and they were married on Jun 18, 1930. They owned and operated Flaisman’s Bar on 64th and St. Clair for 25 years. Genny is survived by her sons, John (Jack) Paul Flaisman and Richard (Dick) Allen Flaisman and his wife Michelle. Genny had 9 grandchildren; Genevieve (Richard) Nieto, Theresa (Greg) Wolf, Rosalind (Bill Donnelly) Roberts, Angela (Larry Knox) Flaisman, John (Amy) Flaisman, Sharon (Dave Olsavsky) Bradley, Denise (Glenn) Powell, Patrice (Robert) Santi and Rick (Stacie) Flaisman. She also had 17 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, and her daughterinlaws, Marlene and Patricia.
