Carrie Dea Peterson, 86, of Warren, Pa. passed away Friday, August 9, 2013 at Warren General Hospital after an extended illness. Dea was born November 30, 1926 in Paradise, Pa., the daughter of the late Luther and Anna Keller Pifer.
Dea was a loving and caring mother who always had a meal prepared for anyone that visited, and will always be remembered for her chocolate chip cookies. She was a member of the Circle 8 square dance and was a very active member of the First Lutheran Church where she was involved in a wide variety of activities for many years.
She is survived by two sons, Dennis R. Peterson and Rodney P. Peterson, both of Warren, Pa. she also has seven grandchildren, nine greatgrandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Wilbert Harold “Sonny” Peterson; her son, Terry L. Peterson; her grandson, Chad D. Peterson; and four brothers and three sisters.
Friends will be received at Peterson Blick Funeral Home, Inc, 1003 Penn Ave., E., Warren, Pa. on Monday, August 12, from 12 noon to 2 p.m., at which time a funeral service will be held there with The Rev. Jeffrey Ewing, and The Rev. David Blank, coofficiating. Burial will follow in Warren County Memorial Park.
