Threat elevates security at Warren County Courthouse
A potential threat has altered security procedures at the Warren County Courthouse.
“The Warren County Sheriff’s Office has received information concerning a potential threat directed towards the Warren County Courthouse,” Sheriff Ken Klakamp said in a letter released on Wednesday. “As a result of a meeting between the Sheriff, Courts and County Commissioners concerning the threat, security at the courthouse has been elevated.”
Individuals seeking to enter the courthouse will be required to enter through the Fifth Ave. entrance at the rear of the facility. The main entrance on Fourth Ave. has been closed.
“The elevated security will remain in effect until further notice,” the letter from Klakamp stated, while also asking for the public’s cooperation.
Information regarding the threat has been turned over to the Pennsylvania State police for investigation.
