AOC on the move

On Thursday, Aug. 8, the Allegheny Outdoor Club (AOC) will ride bikes in the Frewsburg area. Participants will meet at the Jamestown Audubon Center at 5:30 p.m. then ride to Frewsburg and back. For more information call Pat Spicer at (814) 757-8331, evenings.

On Tuesday, August 13, the AOC will hike 6 miles in Cooks Forest. Participants will meet at the Park Office on River Road in Cooksburg near the intersection with Rt. 36 at 10 a.m. The hike will be moderately difficult and will include the Rhododendron Trail, the Old Logging Trail, the Joyce Kilmer Trail, and the Cook Trail. Paws closed

Paws Along the River will be closed on Thursday, Aug. 8 for training classes. Regular hours will resume on Friday. For animal emergencies, please contact your local police or call the shelter at 814-726-1961 and leave a message.

Youngsville High School Class of 1948 will have breakfast at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 8, at Richard’s Restaurant in Youngsville.

The Warren Garden Club Board of Directors will meet on Thursday, Aug. 8 at 10:15 a.m. in the Jefferson Room at the Warren Public Library.
