Horse show to benefit 4-H

The sixth annual Warren County Open Horse Show to benefit 4-H horse program will be held Sunday, Aug. 18, at the Warren County Fairgrounds in Pittsfield. It is open to youths age 8-18 as of Jan. 1 and adults. Classes will include halter, pleasure, driving, gaming and walk trot beginning at 9 a.m. Registration will begin at 8 a.m. The show will be held rain or shine. Classes will cost $4 each and participants will be assessed a grounds fee of $5. Youths 18 and younger must wear helmets and boots. All participants will be required to sign an acknowledgment of risk form and provide proof of current coggins and rabies vaccination for their animals. For more information, contact the Penn State Extension office in Warren County at 563-9388. The 4-H program is a youth development program of Penn State Cooperative Extension. It is open to all youth between the ages of 8 and 18.

Women to lunch

Women of Warren High School Class of 1948 will have lunch at noon Thursday, Aug. 8, at Docksiders, Rt. 59 near Kinzua Dam. Participants will carpool from Warren Shurfine at 11:30 a.m.
