Golf results

Todd Sidon had the low gross of 35 and Rob Culpepper had the low net of 28 in July 30’s Jackson Valley Tuesday Night League. Tim Watkins, Jamie California, and Jeff Savko tied for second low gross with 36, and Ron Caldwell and Colby Olson each shot a 31 for the second low net. Here are the current team standings:

The team of Bob and Andrea Sedon and Roy and Betsy Williams took first in the Conewango Valley Country Club couples event with a score of 50. Dick Cole, Onda Cole, Betsy Senger, and My Ignatius shot a 53 to take second place.

In the Conewango Valley Country Club junior scramble, the team of Madisen Seastrum, Hayden Edwards, and Cody Leofsky shot a 45 to take first place in the Cadet division. Myah Madril, Ricky Madril, and Drew Swanson won the Prep category with a 15, while Coleson Barber, Braddock Damore, and Evan Swanson shot a 13 in the Novice division.

Beaty athletics

Any Beaty-Warren Middle School students interested in participating in a fall sport will need to have the following items completed before the first practice on Monday, August 12: a completed physical packet signed by a physician and all parent signatures, and payments of $25 to BWMS and $25 to the Warren County School District. Payment can be made at the Warren Area Elementary Center office due to construction work at Beaty.

Beaty football

Pre-season conditioning for Beaty Warren Middle School seventh-and-eighth-graders interested in playing football this fall will begin on Monday, Aug. 12. Information on times and where practice will be held will be announced next week.

Chautauqua trap

Celoron downed Carroll, 338 to 331, and Busti beat Randolph, 345 to 337, in Thursday’s Chautauqua County Trap League competition. Celoron’s Rob Becker and Bob Faga, and Busti’s Clyde Knapp, Kirk Decker, and Ray Nordin shot perfect 50’s for the evening. JoAnn Lewis and Tiffany Decker shot 48’s to lead all women. Michael McDunn was the high junior with 49 and Dalton Becker was the high sub junior with 48. High vets were Knapp and Faga with their 50’s. High senior vet was D.J. Bifaro with 48, and high super senior vet was Gary Sickles with 49.
