LENNART LIFFNER

Lennart M. Liffner, 54, of 1900 Matthews Run Road, Youngsville, Pa. and formerly of Busti, NY, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, August 1, 2013 surrounded by his family.

Lennart was born in Jamestown, NY on January 4, 1959, a son of Frank Liffner, of Navarre, FL and the late Mary Lou (Peterson) Sanders.

He graduated from Eisenhower High School in 1977 and went on to 4 additional years of school at the IBEW Local 56 Union Hall in Erie to become a Union Journeyman Electrician. He had over 25 years in the electrical business. Lenny went on to own and operate his own successful business, Liffner Electric. He had previously worked in the Oil Fields for several years.

Although he didn’t belong to a church, he was very spiritual; and, he found God in his son, and his grandchildren. He was a true lover of animals, especially his dogs. He also was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles #313 of Warren.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his loving wife and companion of 20 years, Kandy (Wiggers) Liffner; a son, Lennart Mark Liffner, Jr. and his wife, JoAnn of Jamestown, NY; a sister, Kathie Liffner and her companion, Jeff (Fozz) Nelson of Sugar Grove, PA; a stepfather, John Sanders, of Sugar Grove, PA; 1 grandaugher, Quinn Liffner and 1 grandson, Parker Liffner both of Jamestown; and 6 nieces and nephews, Hobart Sanders, Karl Sanders, Josh Sanders, Dustin Schwab, Jenny Rohlin, and Elsa Schwab; and his lab of 13 years, Sherman. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his grandmother who helped to raise him, Louise Peterson, a nephew, Eric Sanders, and his faithful companion, his lab of 17 years, Buster.

Friends will be received by the family on Friday from 68 pm at McKinney Funeral Homes in Sugar Grove followed by a celebration of Lennart’s Life which will be held at 8pm on Friday, August 9th, at the funeral home and all family and friends are invited to attend. Following the celebration of Life service, wish laterns will be distributed and a release of the laterns will take place at the field behind the Sugar Grove Elementary School.
