Crash. Warren-based state police responded to a one-vehicle crash on Matthews Run Road, north of Murray Hill Road, on July 24 at 12:10 p.m. According to police, Arlene Sailar, 68, Warren, was traveling east on Matthews Run Road when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a culvert. The vehicle continued to travel 200 feet and came to rest in a ditch. The vehicle suffered disabling front-end damage and was towed from the scene. Polie said Sailar was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured in the accident. She was cited for roadways laned for traffic.
Crash. Warren-based state police responded to a one-vehicle crash on Forestry Route 256, south of Austin Road, on July 24 at 3:30 p.m. According to police, Kenneth Seyler, 20, Sheffield, was traveling south when he lost control after hitting the brakes to avoid a deer. The vehicle slid counter-clockwise before going over an embankment and overturning. Seyler was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured. Seyler’s 16-year-old male passenger was also wearing a seatbelt, but was transported to Kane Community Hospital by a family member. Police said Seyler was charged with driving vehicle at safe speed.
Burglary. Conewango Township Police were dispatched to a commercial building owned by Brink Transportation for a burglary on July 7 at 6:23 p.m. According to police, Brink stated he noticed a man door open on the east side of the building on July 6, but did not notice anything missing until the next day when he returned. Missing is a blue 10-speed hybrid-style bike valued at $150. Anyone with information is asked to contact the township police at 726-0725 or Crimestoppers.
Criminal mischief. Corry-based state police report between 5 p.m July 26 and 7:45 a.m. July 27, someone smashed out a rear passenger window of a truck belonging to Kathleen Christiansen, 65, Corry. Damage is estimated at $300. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Corry state police.

Theft. Warren-based state police report between Oct. 25, 2012 and July 17, 2013, someone took the license plate off a vehicle belonging to John Aldrich, 60, Warren. The vehicle was located at North Auto Crushers. Anyone with information should contact the state police.
Crash. Warren-based state police responded to a one-vehicle crash on S. Main Street on July 27 at 2:10 a.m. According to police, the driver of a 1998 Ford Contour SVT sedan failed to negotiate a right curve, crossed the center line, swerved back and struck a utility pole, shearing it off. The vehicle continue to travel, spinning clockwise into the residence at 312 S. Main St. Police said the occupants of the vehicle fled the scene on foot west on Route 6. The investigation into the incident continues. The occupants of the residence were unharmed. Police were assisted at the scene by Clarendon volunteer firefighters, Warren County Sheriff’s depuies and Penelec.
