Golf Results

Pete Hofert and Jim Fehlman shared low gross of 36 and Jim Dunn fired a low net of 27 during Youngsville Area Senior Golf League play at Maplehurst Country Club on Tuesday. Hofert and Gary Wood both birdied twice during the round.

Hallie Dubia scored low gross of 40 and Judy McGinn took low net with a 34 during Conewango Valley Country Club Tuesday Ladies golf play. Here are the flight-by-flight results:

The football coaches team rules meeting for Eisenhower football will be held this Sunday, July 28, at the Sugar Grove Free Methodist Church at 5 p.m. All physical paperwork along with other WCSD paperwork will be completed. Football team camp will be held Monday July 29, through Thursday, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. All players, varsity or junior varsity, should plan to attend. Varsity/JV conditioning camp will be held on Aug. 6 through August 9 at 5:30 p.m. each night. Due to new PIAA rules, players must attend these practices to be able to have contact on the first day of fall camp.


Youth Football

Registration is scheduled for Monday, July 29 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the YHS football field for the Youngsville Eagles Touchdown Club Youth Tackle Football League for fourth, fifth and six grade boys in the Youngsville, Tidioute and Sugar Grove areas. A mini camp and skills evaluations will be held on Tuesday, August 6 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. and from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. on August 8 at Davis Street. All practice sessions will be Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Davis Street Field in Youngsville from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. The first practice is slated for August 12. Games will be played on the following dates: Sept. 7, 14, 21, 28 and October 5 at 10 a.m. A night game will be held at YHS on Sept. 25 with kickoff set for 5:30 p.m. Cost to participate is $40. Anyone with questions is encouraged to call Jim Dunn at 563-7928 after 5:30 p.m.

One Pitch


A one-pitch softball tournament will be held on Sept. 7 and 8 in Tidioute to benefit Tidioute baseball. Cost is $125 per team and each team may have no more than 12 members. All participants must be at least 18 years of age to participate. Registration is open through the end of August. Anyone with questions is asked to call Mike Buccardo at 779-1274 or 484-1431.
