Warren High School Class of 1952 will go to Perkins for breakfast on Thursday, July 18, at 9 a.m. All classmates, spouses and companions are invited.

Youngsville High School Class of 1953 will have breakfast at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, July 18, at Richard’s Restaurant in Youngsville.

Vision screening

There will be a vision screening at the Allegheny Community Center on Tuesday, July 16, from 10 a.m. to noon.

Westfall reunion

The annual Westfall reunion will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, July 21, at Brokenstraw Campgrounds, Rt. 6 between Pittsfield and Corry. Participants should take a tureen, table service and an item for the white elephant auction. Coffee will be provided.

Torpedo day planned

The 77th Torpedo Old Home Day will be held at the Torpedo Community Church on Saturday, July 20, starting at 11 a.m. A smorgasbord-style lunch will be at noon in the grove. Participants should take a dish to share, table service and a lawn chair. In case of rain, the lunch will be served in the recreation room of the church. Coffee and soft drinks will be provided. Plan to meet and visit with old friends. Photo albums of Torpedo, Garland and old home days past will be available to refresh memories. After lunch, games will be available for the children. A white elephant sale will follow lunch. Those who are interested should take a wrapped item to be auctioned off to support the Torpedo Old Home Day expenses.

Restoring a school

The 1860s Thompson Hill School, Valentine Run at Thompson Hill Roads in Farmington Township, sustained snow damage during the storms of 2011-12 and requires repair and restoration or demolition. Anyone interested in helping with its restoration is invited to a meeting at the school house lawn at 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 17. In case of rain, the meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 18.

Support offered

The Alzheimer’s Caregivers Support Group will meet at noon Monday, July 15, in the Wesley Parlor of Grace United Methodist Church, 501 Pennsylvania Ave. E., Warren. The group will discuss the team sign-up for the “Walk to End Alzheimer’s” on Sept. 28 at Betts Field and summer meeting plans. Participants should enter the building from the east side of the church via the elevator entrance at the rear of the parking lot. Wesley Parlor is on the first floor. Bring a bag lunch and beverage, if desired. All caregivers (past and present), family members of those affected by dementia, and anyone interested in the group are invited to attend these meetings which are scheduled for the third Monday of each month.
