Apres Parade

The best floats and units in the Fourth of July Parade and prize winners have been announced.

In the commercial division, Whirley DrinkWorks! took first place, United Refining Company placed second, and Northwest Savings Bank was third.

In the Service category, Beacon Light Behavioral Health System took top honors, First Church of God second, and Warren Players third.

The top three youth floats were: first place, Warren YMCA; second, the Boy Scouts of America’s Chief Cornplanter Council; and third, the Girl Scouts.

The best entries in the Fire Vehicle competition were: Best Tanker, Pleasant VFD; Best Engine, Glade VFD; Best Rescue, Pleasant VFD; Best Ambulance, Pleasant VFD Squad 7; Best Special Purpose, Glade VFD #5782; Oldest, Pleasant E-4.

For the Drill Team, Cheerleading and Gymnastic Units, first place was Dance Express; second, YMCA Powerhouse and third, Union City.

The top two Majorette Corps entries were Kidnetix, first place, and the Sparkettes took second.

The top four in the Marching Band category were Zem Zem, first; Elks, second; Penn Dixie, third and Excelsior Fife and Drum took fourth.

In the High School Band group, Maplewood finished first, Eisenhower second, and Falconer Central third.

Primetime Brass was the best Drum and Bugle Corps and the Johnsonburg Grey Knights finished second.

The $5,000 grand prize winner in ticket raffle was Karl Grosch of Warren.
