Leonard W. Brown, 64, of 9900 Rt. 27, Grand Valley, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Tuesday morning, June 11, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family

He was born in Sanford, Pa, January 30, 1933, a son of the late Milton and Marie Proper Brown. He had attended Youngsville High, Class of 1951 and served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the Youngsville American Legion. He retired from McGinnis Steel of Corry, Pa.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers: Billy, Kenneth, Larue, Richard and Earl Brown, two sisters, Betty Long, Ruth Nelson and two brothers in law, Ernest McGraw and Victor Nelson

He is survived by his wife, Mary W. Vanderhoof Brown, three daughters: Mrs. Jim ( Vicky ) Powell, Spartansburg, Pa, Mrs. Rick ( Cindy ) Upton, Spring Creek, Pa, Mrs. Stacy ( Kimberly ) Patterson, Spartansburg, two sons: Leonard and his wife Linda Brown, Union City, David Brown and his fiance Sharon Swanson. He is also survived by his sister, Mrs. Alice McGraw, Venice, Florida, a brother, Milton Brown Jr., a brother in law, Richard Long, Pittsfield, three sisters in law: Charlotte Brown, Centerville, Mabel Brown, Youngsville, Pat Brown of Pittsfield and many grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and one Great Great Grandchild.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday July 13, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the Sanford United Methodist Church in Grand Valley with the Rev. Ralph Culp, pastor, officiating.

In lieu of Flowers, the family suggests memorial donation be made to Hospice of Warren Co. 2 Crescent Drive, Warren, Pa. 16365, or to the Sanford United Methodist Church.
