Bonnie Jean Bosko, 74, of Karns City, Pa., formerly of Irvine, Pa., passed away peacefully Friday, July 5, 2013 at the VNA Impatient Hospice in Butler, Pa.
She was born October 30, 1938 in New Castle, Pa., a daughter of the late Rev. Adolph and Mary Patton Steed. Bonnie was a 1956 graduate of Youngsville High School and was previously employed at Loranger’s in Warren. She also drove school bus, and had worked as a nurse’s aide and florist. She was a member of the Youngsville Free Methodist Church, where she played the organ, and the Titusville Free Methodist Church. She enjoyed camping, crafting, visiting with friends and her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Bonnie is survived by a son, Daniel Lee (Becky) Bosko of Virginia Beach, Va., 2 daughters, Mary Beth (Dr. Samuel) Skarote of High Point, N.C., Martha Ann Rottman of Karns City, Pa., 7 grandchildren, Dora, Robin, Sarah and Daniel Bosko, Jessica and Elaina Skarote and Jacob Yencik, 3 great grandchildren, Molly, Cameron and Ayden, and 2 cousins, Rev. William Fox and Sylvia Fox.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Theodore Bosko, whom she married September 19, 1959 and who died November 30, 2009, and a grandson Cody Mackie.
Friends will be received at the Nelson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 314 N. Main St., Youngsville, Pa. 16371 on Monday from 47 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at the Youngsville Free Methodist Church at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Warren Co. Memorial Park.
