Philip M. Jewell, 70, 209 Orchard Street, PA, passed away on Wednesday, July 5, 2013, at the Rouse Home.

Mr. Jewell was born on November 15, 1942, in Warren, the son of the late Myron and Maree Smith Jewell. Philip was a member of the North Warren Presbyterian Church, a 1960 graduate of Warren Area High School and later attended Indiana State University of Pennsylvania. He was employed at the Warren National Bank & Trust and later employed as a Senior Systems Analyst at The Service Bureau and The National Cash Register Co. of Erie, PA, ITT in Harrisburg, PA and HBJ in Duluth, MN. He later worked as an over the road truck driver for 15 years, from which he retired. He enjoyed mowing at the CVCC golf course. Philip was an avid hunter and outdoorsman.

He is survived by his wife, Londa Dunham Jewell, Warren, PA, whom he married on September 7, 1963 at the First Baptist Church in Warren; two sons Richard Jewell of New York, NY, and William Jewell and wife Bonnie of Erie, PA, one granddaughter Kathleen Jewell of Philadelphia PA; two grandsons Matthew Jewell and Christian Jewell both of Erie, PA; a sister, Phoebe, and her husband Dr. E. Warner Ahlgren of Hunt, TX; sisterinlaw Amy and her husband David Rydholm of Hamburg, NY; two brothersinlaw, Larry and wife Joanne Dunham, and Garry and wife Marlene Dunham both of Warren, PA; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces and great nephews.

Friends will be received at the Peterson Blick Funeral Home, Inc., 1003 Penn Ave., E., Warren, on Sunday, July 7, from 2 to 5 p.m. and on Monday, July 8, for one hour prior to a funeral service to be held there at 11:00 a.m., with The Reverend Ellie Johns Kelley, pastor, First Presbyterian Church, officiating.

Burial will follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Russell, PA.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Warren County, or the North Warren Presbyterian Church.
