Missionary to speak

Michael Airgood, a native of Kane and a United Methodist missionary to Ukraine, will speak on July 6 at the “Saturday@Six” informal worship service at First United Methodist Church, 200 Market Street, here in Warren. The service will be held in Founders Hall on the second floor of First UMC at 6 p.m. Saturday evening. Participants should enter via the parking lot entrance off Watson Place or the Second Avenue doors. For information, call 723-4930.

Family fun planned

Everyone is invited to a Community Outreach event at Faith Fellowship Church of God, 208 Market St., on July 9-10. Festivities will begin at 6:30 p.m. each evening. A special outreach team from the Upper Strasburg Church of God will attend this event. Tuesday night there will be crafts, face painting, games and refreshments. Everything will be free. Wednesday night everyone is invited to a casual worship service that will feature live music followed by a time of refreshment and fellowship. Kinzua reunion

The annual Kinzua reunion will be held Sunday, July 14, at the DeForest Pavilion, Wildcat Park, Ludlow. Special guest will be Randy John, curator of the Seneca Iroquois National Museum. Participants should take a dish to share, salad or dessert, in a quantity everyone can enjoy. The committee will provide meat and beverages, plates, tableware and serving utensils. Lunch will be served at 1 p.m. Participants are invited to take along any history of Kinzua to share.

Class to lunch

Warren High School Class of 1953 will have lunch at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 10, at the Frewsburg Hotel, Frewsburg, N.Y.

Worship Sunday

Many local churches will not have worship services this Sunday. Parishioners will attend the community service at 10 a.m. at the Library Theatre. This interdenominational Christian worship will feature a combined church choir, a combined church worship team and speaker the Rev. Steve Armfield of Thornapple Evangelical Covenant Church in Grand Rapids, Mich. An offering will support the summer chaplain ministry at Chapman State Park and Buckaloons. Among parishes participating are First United Methodist, Warren, and Warren Alliance Church, and many others.

Class to lunch
