‘Liberty Rocks’ will have downtown rockin’

Tonight, Liberty Street will rock.

The third annual version of Liberty Rocks kicks off Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. and will run until 12:30 a.m. on Liberty Street between Second and Third avenues in downtown Warren.

The event will feature music, vendors and a host of prize giveaways throughout the evening.

Last year’s edition was rained out early in the evening, but tents will be up on the street this year in the event the weather doesn’t cooperate.

On the musical side, Storytime with Phil will take the state from 5 to 6:30 p.m. The Porcelain Bus Drivers will play from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. and Black John will close out the night, performing from 9:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.

Bar-B-Q will be available and The Plaza will also be on hand to provide additional food options. Ice cream, pop, water and beer will also be available.

Main Street President Dan Ristau said that affordability was the goal for the event and he feels it has been met.
