Harassment. Warren-based state police reported that on June 25 at 7:10 p.m. Brenda Denise Carroll, 35, Warren, repeatedly screamed at and confronted Bessica Jane Walter, 38, Warren. Police said Carroll’s actions served no legitimate purpose, alarmed Walter and caused Warren State Hospital staff to intervene and separate the Carroll from Walter. Police said charges were filed against Carroll at District Justice Laura Bauer’s office in North Warren.

Burglary. Warren-based state police reported that between Dec. 15, 2012 and Jan. 7, 2013 a burglary occurred at a camp on Pulfer Hill Road belonging to Walter Gorr Jr., Coraopolis, Pa. Police said their investigation revealed that Robbie L. Russ, 28, Erie, committed the burglary and theft of a generator, copper tubing and other miscellaneous items. Russ was charged with burglary and theft through District Justice Cynthia Lindemuth’s office and an arrest warrant was issued. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police or Warren County Crime Stoppers. Police said Nicholas Keith Bennett, 25, Spring Creek, received stolen property from Russ. Police said it was also determined that Bennett drove while intoxicated attempting to retrieve stolen property.


Retail theft. Youngsville Borough police reported that Lugene Sturdevant, E. Main St., Youngsville, put fuel in his vehicle at Kwik Fill and drove away without paying on June 6 and June 8. Police said that both times Sturdevant pumped approximately $20 worth of fuel and then fled the gas station. Police said charges have been filed with District Justice Cynthia Lindemuth’s office.

Domestic violence. Youngsville Borough police were dispatched to 45 Second St. for a domestic dispute at 4:55 p.m. June 25. Police said the call involved a male and female, with the male having a knife in his possession. Police said Donald Pierce, 45, Youngsville, made several threats against the officers while being barricaded in the basement of the residence. Police said they were later able to calm Pierce down and take him into custody. Police said Pierce has been charged with terroristic threats, simple assault and harassment for this threats of violence against the officers. He was taken before District Justice Glenn Carlson for arraignment then placed in the Warren County Jail with bail set at $435,000.

Found property. On Monday, June 24, at approximately 11 a.m., Youngsville Borough police received two bicycles that were found in the Brokenstraw Creek just off of the bridge on E. Main St. The bikes were recovered out of the creek and brought to the police department. If anyone is missing bicycles, or has any information about the bicycles being taken, they are asked to contact the borough police.

Hit and run. Warren-based state police said a Toyota Prius was legally parked in the 800 block of Matthews Run Road on June 19 in Youngsville. Police said an unknown vehicle was traveling east and its right front hit the left rear of the Toyota Prius, sideswiping the vehicle . After impact, the unknown vehicle fled the scene, according to police. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police or Crime Stoppers.
