John W. Kent, 63, of 17 8th St. Youngsville, Pa., passed away at home Tuesday morning June, 25, 2013.
He was born May 7, 1950 to the late Neal and Grace Moore Kent in Olean, New York. John graduated from Warren Area High School in 1968. He married Barbara McGraw Kent on September 20, 1969 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Tidioute. John was employed for many years as a meat cutter at Quality Markets and Tops, recently retiring. He loved spending time outdoors, fishing, hunting, gardening and riding four wheelers and socializing with his many friends.
John is survived by his loving wife Barbara McGraw Kent, a son Neal (Elizabeth) Kent of Warren and his grandchildren Peyton and Haley, and his brothers Frank (Sandy) Kent of Meadville, Dave (Judy) Kent of Taveres, Fl. and Mike (Carolyn) Kent of Ft. Lauderdale, Fl.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded by his brother Pat Kent.
Friends will be received on Thursday, June 27th from 47 p.m. at the Nelson Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 314 North Main St. Youngsville. A funeral service will be held there at 11:00 a.m. on Friday June 28th with the Rev. Marcus Briggs, chaplain of the Youngsville Rouse Home, officiating. Burial will be in St. Jacqueline Cemetery in Tidioute.
