Board will call special meeting on hiring Super
The Warren County School District still does not have a superintendent.
The district has been without a superintendent since Brandon Hufnagel’s resignation in early February.
Of 10 candidates reviewed by the board, only one, Dr. William Clark, was brought forward last week to participate in focus groups with administrators, teachers, support staff, and members of the community.
The board did not act on the superintendent issue at Wednesday’s special meeting and canceled its regular meeting set for July 15 – the next scheduled opportunity to take formal action.
“The hope would be that sometime in the near future we might be addressing a superintendent contract,” board president Arthur Stewart said.
If the need arises, the board will call and hold a special meeting for that purpose, he said.
The board scheduled a special meeting for 6 p.m. Monday, July 29, at Warren County Career Center. There are four committee meetings scheduled for that evening.
