Victorian Tea

Saturday, June 22 will be filled with fun, food, entertainment and door prizes as the ladies from the community gather for a Victorian Tea at the Presbyterian Church from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Tidioute Area Volunteer Fire Department is holding a beef/freezer raffle to be drawn on November 30 at the Annual Fall Gun Raffle.

There will be five drawings: drawings one through four will be for a quarter of beef each, and the fifth drawing will be for a chest freezer.

An additional food basket drawing will be held at each monthly membership meeting on the last Tuesday of each month. Winning tickets of the monthly drawings will be reentered to win at the November drawings too.

Tickets are $5 each and can be purchased from any fire department member, Tidioute Fleatique and at Buccardo’s Restaurant.

Members of the department are reminded to bring all Sold Tickets to monthly membership meetings.

Watson Grange

Bob Hollabaugh, master presided over the recent meeting of Watson Grange at which time it was learned that Watson Grange has been approved for money from their State Grange Trust which will be used for some updates to the hall.

Matthew and Miranda Irons are busy finalizing their last term as PA State Grange Young Couple. They will be attending the Royalty Trip in Harrisburg, State Youth Camp June 28-30 and then participating in the reenactment of the Grange degrees at the Oliver Hudson Kelley Farm in Minnesota in July.

Members were asked to keep the families of Cody Master, Cody Mohrey and Thomas Phelps in their prayers. Masters parents, Dave and Colleen Spencer are members of Watson Grange.

Upcoming events: Hayride at the home of John and Deanna Hollabaugh on Saturday, June 22 at 1 p.m. with hot dogs and other picnic foods; Craft night at the home of Alice Weaver on June 24 and July 8 at 6:30 p.m. both nights.

Next Grange meeting will be Thursday, June 27 at 6:30 p.m. with melons for refreshments.

Clothing drive update

Officials from Moore, Okla., have stated that they have received more than enough donations of clothing. However, the walking club of Tidioute will still be accepting clothing donations as a drive to help others suffering from other disasters and needs.

The church will be open to accept donations on Sundays from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. and randomly through out the week whenever the yellow sign is displayed.

Postal reminder

Just a freminder that the Tidioute Post Office has new hours.

Window hours will be Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., closed from 12p.m. to 2 p.m.

Saturdays will be open from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.

Lobby Hours will Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

TCCS fundraiser

Tidioute Community Charter School Student Activities Group is sponsoring a Tidioute, PA sweatshirt and T-shirt Sale.

These shirts are back by popular demand and have the Colin Dussault slogan on the back.

“Tidioute, PA ….if you have never been there you might not understand.”

The shirts are for sale only at Buccardo’s Restaurant. The are available in a variety of Adult sizes from small to XX Large.

Tidioute Community Charter School thanks the Buccardo’s for helping with this fund-raiser.

Benefit dinner

There will be a Benefit Dinner on Saturday, June 29 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Endeavor Community Building, for the families of the three young men who lost their lives on June 12, in a car accident to help with expenses.

The families of Cody Mohery, Cody Masters and Thomas Phellps all have a rough road ahead and your support would be greatly appreciated.

Cost is $6 per person.

There will be a 50/50 drawing and a Chinese Auction.

Counseling offered

Tidioute Community Charter School will be offering counseling services to any student, family member, or community member, following the recent tragic death of charter school students.

Beacon Light Counseling Services will be available on Thursday and Friday from 11 a.m. 2 p.m. at the Tidioute Community Charter School.
