Warren Area High School and Penn State Behrend graduate Lindsay Baughman is currently in her third season as an assistant coach for the Fort LeBoeuf Bison out of District 10. On Tuesday, Fort LeBoeuf advanced to the PIAA Class AAA Championship game with a 4-1 victory over Ambridge at Penn State Behrend. LeBoeuf (20-4) will face Valley View at 5:30 p.m., Friday, at Penn State University.

Baughman played for the Lady Dragons in Warren from 2002 to 2005 and was a shortstop under former coach Jerry Stuart and current Warren coach Mark Bupp. She was recruited by Penn State Behrend coach Stacy Pondo and played four years for the Lady Lions as the team’s starting catcher.

In 2006, Baughman was named the team’s most improved player, helping the Lady Lions to Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference championships in 2006, 2008 and 2009. She still holds the school record for putouts with 778.

Currently, she works with the Bison as a pitching and catching coach.
