Barnyard Classic

Players planning to participate in the Barnyard Classic 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament are reminded that all registration forms must be postmarked by June 18. Those still needing registration forms can find them at www.barnyardclassic.com.

Kinzua soccer

Kinzua U-10 Yeager ended its season with an 11-0 victory on Sunday over Titusville. Darren Glotz, Jillian Horton and Rylie Yeager scored two goals each, Paige Johnson and Payton Barnes each scored one goal and Katie Beyer, Zach Rohlin and Will Sokolski scored their first goals of the season. Defensive standouts included Graham Carr, Alex Ferry and Will McCullough.

The Kinzua Flatt U12 team (7-1) defeated Shenango Valley, 7-2. Goal scorers included Andrew Beyer and Ryon Flatt with two each, and Carter Borland, Caleb Lindell and A.J. Seyler with one each. Assists were by Beyer with two, and Borland one, Mitchell Grosch, Lindell and Seyler one each. Goalie was Joshua John, and defensive standouts were Beyer, Grosch, Stephen Ashbaugh, Kenny Lasecki and Thomas Lucks.

The U12 Kinzua Harrington team (4-4) defeated Shenango Valley Gold, 7-3, on Sunday. Goal scorers were Owen Jacobson with two, Jonas Epp two, and Jake Funari, Devin Navaroli and Alex Nebinski one each. Funari, Nebinski, Tommy Harrington, Ian Goldthwaite and Epp had assists, and Epp and Thomas Bablak were goalies. Defensive standouts included Beck Labesky and Goldthwaite.

Hole-in-one

CVCC member Judy McGinn recorded her first career hole-in-one on Sunday at Conewango Valley Country Club. The ace came on the 16th hole, which measures 121 yards. She used a 9-wood and it was witnessed by her husband, Bob McGinn, and Sally Steele.

Golf results

The CVCC team of Anthony Pellegrino, Joe Bellitto, Bob Gray, Vince Messina, Al Baldensperger, Ron Leofsky, Chip Lucia and Phil Mathyer finished first in the Conewango Valley Country Club Team Cup event, benefitting the Warren Pediatric Dental Home program, with 122 modified stableford points. The Tri-County team of Dave Hazard, Jim Ferrino, Scott Nordine, Joe Mackenberg, Bill Gleason, Jay Schifiano, Bill Haberer and Rick Inglut finished second at 109 points.

Individually, Pellegrino had a low-gross 70, and Dave Walde and Mike Bancroft shot a 75 each. Barry Wilcox had the low net of 67, Inglut 68 and Bill Andrews 69.

First-time winner was the team of Brian Mitchell and Mike Campbell in the Kim’s Kafe Tuesday Scratch League last week at Blueberry Hill, with a 36. Six teams finished one back.

Denny Ayers had the low gross of 39, and Bob Buerkle, Dave Berdine and Denny Kirkpatrick each had low net of 32, on Friday in the Cable Hollow Senior Men’s Golf League.

Walt Kaper and John Bortz shared most points at 8.5, Buerkle and Ayers had six pars each, and Doug Spoto two birdies. Jim Scalise, Pat Black, Chuck Roberts, Bob Yucha, Kaper, Dick Whiting, Dale Martin, Mike Davis, Glenn Cook, Larry Spencer, Gary Peterson and Geve Covell one birdie each.
