DUI. Warren-based state police said they stopped Rhonda Barton, 48, Grand Valley, at 4:30 p.m. June 7 at Route 6 and Ludlow Street for several traffic violations. Police said Barton was found to be under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested for DUI. Police said the DUI charge and several other traffic violations are pending with District Justice Glenn Carlson’s office.
Theft. According to Conewango Township Police, two males, who appeared to be in their teens, stole two powered/handicap carts from Walmart at 2:37 a.m. June 8. Police said the two rode the carts out of the store and across the Warren Commons parking lot towards Lowe’s. Police said one cart was found damaged behind Lowe’s and the other one is still missing. Anyone with information is asked to contact the township police, 726-0725, or Warren County Crimestoppers.
Terroristic threats. Warren-based state police responded to a reported terroristic threat at the Holly Apartments at 8:15 a.m. June 8. According to police, Joseph Windham, 20, Warren, and the two victims a 37-year-old male and a 43-year-old female were having an argument over rent money. Police said Windham told the two victims that he was going to get a gun and come back and shoot them; he also told the male that he would stab him in the heart with a knife. Police said Windham was arrested for terroristic threats and arraigned before District Justice George Gregory and committed to the Warren County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bond.
Simple assault/harassment. Warren-based state police responded to an incident in the area of Keenan Street at 2:50 a.m. June 8. According to police, a 29-year-old female and a 27-year-old male, both of Warren, got into a verbal altercation which turned physical. According to police, the male shoved the female, and she then struck him in the face several times. Police said the male suffered moderate injury to his face and head and the female suffered minor scratches on the upper chest. The female was arrested and arraigned before District Justice George Gregory on charges of simple assault and harassment, then released on $5,000 unsecured bail. The male was charged with harassment before District Justice Laura Bauer.
Pine Grove Twp.
Burglary. Lee Lundmark, Russell, reported to Warren-based state police that someone entered his hunting camp, 951 Swede Hill Rd., between midnight Dec. 1, 2012, and 3 p.m. June 2 and took some guns valued at approximately $2,600. Anyone with information is asked th contact the state police.
Harassment. Warren-based state police responded to an reported incident of harassment at 10 p.m. June 8 in the area of Black Bear Lane. According to police, Mark Plemmons, 59, Pleasantville, and James Tucker, 40, Centerville, subjected each other to physical contact; no injuries were reported. Police said both were charged with harassment through District Justice Cynthia Lindemuth’s office.
