Ron Leofsky had low gross of 36 and Mike Moyer Jr. and Fred Larson shared low net of 28 in Tuesday Night Golf League play at Jackson Valley Golf Club. Tom Moyer and Rob Ritchie shared second low gross of 37 and Jeff Savko and Casey Moyer shared third low gross of 38. Leofsky had second low net of 29 and Kim Reynolds had third low net of 31.

3-on-3 hoops

The Bemus Point 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament will be held August 10-11, at the Bemus Point Park. Age divisions include fifth and sixth grade, seventh and eighth grade, ninth and tenth grade and 11th and 12th grade for both boys and girls. There are also divisions for Men’s Open A and B, age 35 and over, top men’s and women’s open. The cost is $80 per team.

Teams can pick up a registration form at the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation (418 Spring St., Jamestown), the Post-Journal (15 West Second St., Jamestown) or The Jock Shop (10 Harrison St., Jamestown). Ironmen out

The Jamestown Ironmen of the North Atlantic Hockey League will not return for the 2013-14 NAHL season, according to owner Kenji Yamada. Yamada did not rule out that the Ironmen could return for the 2014-15 season.

The Ironmen finished the 2012-13 season with a record of 37-19-4, claimed the North Division title and ultimately placed fourth in the Robertson Cup championship tournament.

Rec softball

Betts dominated in a pair of Richard T. Betts Rec Modified Softball League games on Wednesday at Betts Park to improve to 4-1 overall.

Ed Baldensperger allowed one run over 10 innings in a 12-0 win over Crescent Beer and 19-1 win over Cougar Bob’s.

In the win over Crescent, Jeff Eaton had a three-run home run, and Darren Cummings and Preston McMeans two-run shots. Eaton and Jeff Berdine had two hits each.

Jason Rafalski and Eric Rosequist homered in the nightcap over Bob’s, and Eaton, Andrew Morrison and Rafalski ended with two hits each in this one.

Jr. Legion

Mitch Dorunda’s two-run single was one of five Warren Post 135 hits in a six-run sixth inning in a Junior American Legion baseball win on Wednesday over Rocky Grove.

Casey Vincent was 2-for-3 and Dorunda threw the complete game, five-hitter.

On Saturday, Seth Baldensperger had two hits and two RBI and Dominic Funari 2-for-2 in a 4-3 loss to South County.
