Parole violation. On May 31, officers of the Warren County Adult Probation Department arrested Zachary E. Battko, 21, Sheffield, on charges of violation of parole. Battko, who was originally placed on parole on a charge of aggravated assault, was arrested on a supervisor’s warrant and committed to the Warren County Jail pending further court action.

Conewango Twp.

Retail theft. On June 5, Conewango Township Police responded to Walmart for a report of a retail theft after loss prevention observed Bridget Bardo, 30, Patricia Bargy, 54, and Destiny Franze, 24, all from Randolph, N.Y., conceal $345 worth of merchandise and leave the store without paying. Police said the three were apprehended in the parking lot. They were taken before District Justice Cynthia Lindemuth and remanded to the Warren County Jail in lieu of $5,000, $5,000 and $2,500 bail, respectively. Warren-based state police assisted at the scene.

Columbus Twp.

Burglary. Corry-based state police are investigating an incident in which unknown individuals entered the residence of Phyllis Yvonne Stroup, 71, while she was not home and stole her Panasonic 37-inch television set. The television set is valued at $600. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at 663-2043.
