‘Charles Wesley’

at Y’ville UM

The Youngsville First United Methodist Church will host “Charles Wesley” aka Larry Homitsky during the morning worship service June 9 at 9 a.m. Mr. Homitsky is well known for his impersonations of both Charles and John Wesley.

While John Wesley was most eminent in the founding of Methodism in England in the 1700’s, Charles Wesley was a most outstanding poet and writer of Bible-centered hymns. Most protestant hymnals contain many of his 7,000 hymns, one of which is “Hark, the Herald Angels Sing”, that we all sing at Christmas.

Visitors are welcome to attend this service to enjoy Morning Worship led by “Charles Wesley”, followed by a time of fellowship. The congregation will gather at the front of the church to welcome “Charles” as he arrives on his horse.
