Budding actors sought for local zombie film

So, you think you ought to be in pictures?

Fifteen minutes of fame and all that?

If being one of the undead fits the bill, there is a local audition coming up.

The third and final round of auditions for the next Sean Perry Productions film will be held in Kane at the Elks Club, 210 Chestnut St. The initial auditions were held at Thorne’s BiLo in Warren and a second round in Bradford.

Perry said his company has shot more than 100 films, feature and short-length.

“This July, we are shooting a zombie film and bringing in people from all over the state,” he said. “We are looking for a broad spectrum of people for the film.”

The auditions will run from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, June 1.

Those looking for a part may read for a leading role or sign up as an extra – zombie and non-zombie parts are available. There is no need for auditioners to appear as zombies – casual attire is expected.

“We have hired one of the best makeup artists in Pittsburgh and a cinematographer who has shot music videos for some top rap artists,” Perry said. “Every part of the production process will be professionally done. Now we just need the actors to bring the words to life.”

“The audition process is very simple and pain-free,” Perry said. “We just need interested actors, both experienced and first-timers.”
