Robert Elton Davis, 63, of Bean Drive, Warren, Pa., died on Saturday May 18, 2013 at Warren General Hospital.
Bob was born October 19, 1949, in Warren, the son of the late Elton and Virginia Wonderling Davis. A lifelong area resident, Bob was a 1967 graduate of Eisenhower High School. He then served in the US Army, serving two years in Vietnam. He returned to Warren and most recently worked for Ferrell Gas for eighteen years, retiring in 2011. Bob was a member of the American Legion Post 135 and the Struthers Independent Hose Co. #1. He enjoyed camping, geocach ing, softball, baseball, and especially his family.
He is survived by one daughter, Pamela Colvin and her husband Robert; one son, Brian Davis and his wife Katie, both of Warren, Pa.; two sisters Carol Ann Jayquay and her husband, Albert of Russell, Pa.; and Darlene Lynn Palmer and Clarence Lee Briggs, Youngsville; five grand children, Christina, Eric, Emily, Alex, and Jayelyn; one greatgrandson; nieces and nephews, Dana, Jessica, Todd, Jay, and David.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his former wife, Sally Morrison; and brotherinlaw, Ervin “Jr.” Palmer; and his mother’s long time companion, F. Jim Michielsen.
Friends will be received at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc., 1003 Penna. Ave. E., Warren, PA 16365, on Wednesday, May 22, from 6 to 8 p.m. and for one hour prior to a funeral service to be held at the funeral home on Thursday, May 23, at 11 a.m. with The Rev. Ellie JohnsKelly, pastor, First Presbyterian Church, officiating.
