Crash. Warren-based state police report a crash which occurred at approximately 11:40 a.m. on May 17 on Rt. 6 approximately .2 miles east of Rt. 27. According to police, Margery E. Peters, 65, Bear Lake, was operating a 2003 Dodge Ram traveling east on Rt. 27 when the front wheel of the vehicle came off. Peters was able to steer the vehicle to the side of the roadway. The vehicle was towed from the scene by Penn Mark Towing.

Columbus Twp.

Theft. Corry-based state police report investigating a theft which occurred between 12 p.m. on May 4 and 6 p.m. on May 16 at a property off of the west side of Reed Road. According to police, unknown actor(s) removed a combination lock from an access road to a property belonging to Carol Lynn Clapp, 61, Corry, and dumped garbage along the road. The lock is valued at approximately $15. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact Corry-based state police.

Limestone Twp.

Theft by unlawful taking. Warren-based state police report investigating an incident of theft by unlawful taking which occurred between 11 a.m. on May 5 and 8:15 p.m. on May 18 at a residence on Rt. 62. According to police, unknown actor(s) removed two trail cameras belonging to Susan Montgomery, 57, Brunswick, OH, from her property. The cameras are valued at approximately $200. Pine Grove Twp.

Burglery. Warren-based state police report investigating an incident of burglary, theft and criminal mischief which occurred between 7:45 a.m. and 12 p.m. on May 17 at 1372 Cider Mill Hill Road. according to police, unknown actor(s) forced entry into a residence belonging to Edward A. Thompson, 42, of Russell, and removed a 36″ Sharp flat-screen television, a Samsung DVD player, an Xbox 360 with controllers and games, and HP laptop with an external hard drive, a Yamaha keyboard and a Ryobi chop saw. The total value of the items taken has not been determined. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact Warren-based state police or Warren County Crime Stoppers.

Pleasant Twp.

Simple assault. Warren-based state police report investigating an incident of simple assault which occurred at approximately 1:10 a.m. on May 18 in the area of Stoney Mountain Lane. According to police, Kenneth G. Kiser, 49, Warren assaulted a 47 year-old female, also of Warren. Kiser threw a chair at the woman, hitting her in the right arm, during an altercation. The woman suffered moderate injury to the arm. Kiser was arraigned before District Judge George Gregory on charges of simple assault, harassment and resisting arrest and placed in the Warren County Jail on $25,000 bail.

Harassment. Warren-based state police report investigating an incident of harassment which occurred at approximately 4:44 p.m. on May 18 at the Wilderness Trailer Park. According to police, Roger James, 39, Clarendon was engaged in an argument with Vera James, 47, Clarendon, when she slapped him in the face.

Southwest Twp.

Theft. Warren-based state police report investigating an incident of theft which occurred between 8 a.m. on May 13 and 12:30 p.m. on May 17 at 16419 Rt. 27. According to police, unknown actor(s) removed advertisement signs for a business belonging to Jeff Waychoff, 51, Grand Valley, from his yard. anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact Warren-based state police or Warren County Crimestoppers.

Sugar Grove Twp.

Criminal trespass. Warren-based state police report investigating an incident of criminal trespass which occurred at approximately 12 p.m. on May 17 at the Chandlers Valley Trailer Park. According to police, Gabriel E. O’Neil, 22, entered the trailer park after being given notice not to be there.

Town of Kiantone

DWI. The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Department report an arrest for DWI which occurred at approximately 3:34 a.m. on May 19 on Rt. 62 in the town of Kiantone, NY. According to police, Crystal R. Borst, 23, Warren, was stopped for speeding on Rt. 62. Following further investigation, Borst was arrested on charges of DWI – BAC of .08 or greater and speeding.
