17 defendants sentenced by Judge Skerda

Seventeen sentences were handed down in county court before President Judge Maureen Skerda on Friday afternoon.

Sentenced were:

Jean Ellen Berry, 410 Water St., to five years probation, costs of prosecution, $325 in fees and a $1,000 fine for a charge of theft by unlawful taking. She was also ordered to continue with her rehab regimen and complete 300 hours of community service. On a separate of count of possession of drug paraphernalia, Berry was ordered to pay $575 in fines and fees and continue with drug and alcohol recovery.

Kimberli Bogardus, 14 Cedar Ave., Apt. 1, Jamestown, N.Y., to $450 in fines and fees, two years probation, completion of a drug and alcohol recovery evaluation and follow all recommendations, 40 hours of community service on a count of criminal conspiracy (retail theft). She was ordered to have no contract and not trespass at Wal-Mart.

Jeffrey Todd Chandler, Warren County Jail, to 6 months to one year in the Warren County jail with credit for 150 days time served on a count of theft my unlawful taking. He was ordered to pay fines and fees in the amount of $1,225, pay restitution in the amount of $7,270 and complete 100 hours of community service. Chandler is work release and early re-entry eligible. He was also sentenced to three years of probation and ordered to undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and follow all recommendations. On an additional count of unauthorized use of auto/other vehicles, he was sentenced to a consecutive two months to one year less one day in the Warren County Jail and ordered to complete an additional 30 hours of community service.

David Church, 1030 Cobb Rd., Spartansburg, to 72 hours to six months in the Warren County Jail, $1,650 in fines and fees, a 12-month drivers license suspension, 30 hours of community service, participation in highway safety school, victim impact panel and DUI intervention program on a count of DUI: Highest rate (BAC +.16) – first offense. On a summary count of driving on roadways laned for traffic, Church was ordered to pay a $25 fine and a $30 surcharge.

Amanda Kelsey Alyssa Craker, 76 W. Hallam Ave., Washington, Pa., to one year probation, $550 in fines and fees, $68.80 in restitution and ordered to have no contact with a former employer on a count of theft by unlawful taking or disposition. She was ordered to continue in the drug and alcohol program she is involved in.

Patrick Thomas Cummings, 702 Eastwick Dr. Exeter, Pa.., to one year probation, $550 in fines and fees, 30 hours of community service and ordered to complete a drug and alcohol evaluation and follow all recommendations on a count of possession of drug paraphernalia. On an additional count of DUI: controlled substance – metabolic, Sch I, II, II – first offense, Cummings was sentenced to 72 hours to six months in the Warren County Jail with credit for two days served, $1,400 in fines and fees, a 12-month drivers license suspension, ordered to complete a drug and alcohol evaluation and follow all recommendations, complete the highway safety school and victim impact panel programs and complete 15 hours of community service. On a count of driving on roadways laned for traffic, he was fined $25 and ordered to pay a $30 surcharge.

Patrick Ian Donovan, Warren County Jail, to six months to one year in the Warren County Jail with credit for time served in the amount of 129 days on a count of possession of a controlled substance. He was ordered to pay $550 in fines and fees as well as a one-year drivers license suspension and 30 hours of community service. He is work release and early re-entry eligible. He was also ordered to complete a drug and alcohol evaluation and follow all recommendations. On a separate count of possession of drug paraphernalia, he was sentenced to one year probation.

David Lee Harkins, Jr., 6660 Matthews Run Rd., Sugar Grove, to two years probation on a count of criminal conspiracy (theft by unlawful taking). He was also ordered to pay $400 in fines and fees, $600 in restitution and complete 40 hours of community service.

Daniel Charles Hellmann, Warren County Jail, to 188 days to one year in the Warren County Jail with credit for 188 days time served on a count of simple assault. He was ordered to pay $600 in fines and fee, adhere to his mental health regimen and complete a health relationships evaluation and participate in any necessary counseling. On an additional count of simple assault, Hellman was sentenced two years of consecutive probation, continue with his mental health regimen and have no contact with the victim.

Bradley E. Huling, Warren County Jail, to 14 to 28 months in a state correctional institution on a count of flight to avoid apprehension, trial or punishment, concurrent to a sentence he is currently serving for an unrelated matter. He is boot camp eligible but not RRRI eligible. He was ordered to pay $1,775 in fines and fees and to complete a drug and alcohol evaluation and follow all recommendations.

Melinda Martin, 20 Terrace Place, Jamestown, N.Y., to three years probation, $1,200 in fines and fees, $1,878 in restitution and ordered to complete 100 hours of community service on a count of violation of public welfare code.

Joseph M. Passerell, 8 Dartmouth St., to 72 hours to six months in the Warren County Jail on a count of DUI: General impairment – incapable of safe driving – refusal – first offense. He was ordered to pay $1,525 in fines and fees. In addition, his drivers license was suspended for 12 months, he must complete the highway school and victim impact panel programs, complete 15 hours of community service and undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and follow all recommendations. On a count of driver required to be licensed, he was ordered to pay a $200 fine and a $30 surcharge. For a count of reckless driving, he was ordered to pay a $200 fine and a $30 surcharge and an additional six month drivers license suspension. On a count of accident involving damage to unattended vehicles/property, he was ordered to pay an additional $300 fine and a $30 surcharge.

Clarissa B. Patrizzi, 36 Bush St. Jamestown, N.Y., to $325 in fines and fees and ordered to not trespass on North Warren Wal-Mart property for a count of summary retail theft.

Lonnie Eugene Pire, 15401 Lyons Rd., Union City, to 90 days to six months in the Warren County Jail on a count of DUI: General impairment – incapable of safe driving – second offense. He was ordered to pay $1,600 in fines and fees, a one-year drivers license suspension, complete the highway safety and victim impact panel programs, 30 hours of community service, and out-patient counseling. He is work release and early re-entry eligible. On a count of careless driving, Pire was fined $25 and ordered to pay a $30 surcharge.

Krystle Alexandria Ransom, 12334 Rt. 957, Sugar Grove, to two years probation, 50 hours of community service, to pay $775 in fines and fees, find a home group sponsor and continue with her rehab.

Andrew Stapfer, Warren County Jail, to 11 1/2 to 30 months in a state correctional institution, concurrent to a sentence he is currently serving, on a count of stalking. He was ordered to pay$1,950 in fines and fees, complete two years of state supervised parole, undergo a mental health evaluation and have no contact with his victim. He is boot camp eligible but not RRRI eligible. On a summary count of harassment/stalking, he was fined $300.

Michelle M. Swab, 766 Mills Run Rd., Spring Creek, to eight days to two years less one day in the Warren County Jail with credit for time served. She is eligible for immediate parole. She was ordered to pay $550 in fines and fees and complete 30 hours of community service.
