LITTLE LEAGUE… 05/17/13

Josh Walsh had two hits and two RBI and Austin Peterson added two hits and three runs scored for Dairy Queen in a 19-9 Boys Minors victory over The Bucket on Thursday.

Hunter Loomis was 4-for-4 and Kyle Swick had three hits in a Boys Minors win for Means Sales & Service.

The Warren “Fence Busters” pounded out 14 hits to back the 2-hit pitching of John Page, Derek Hahn and Alex Borger in a Boys Minors win.

After Wilcox Brothers tied the game in the top of the fourth, Whirley’s Dylan Maeder singled, stole second and scored on Teagan Gray’s RBI single, helping Whirley to a 10-9 Boys Minors win on Thursday.

In the top of the fifth, both Maeder and Gray made fine defensive plays with the possible tying run on second base to help Whirley preserve the win.

Lexi Head and Laura Lucks had two hits each in 10-4 Limited’s Girls Majors win.

In a wild Girls Minors game, Inscale Architects and Whirley DrinkWorks scored 18 runs each to battle to a tie. For Inscale, Braydn Wilson had a home run to left-center field, and Marissa Grubbs, Natalia McManigle and Mallory Sherrard had two hits each. Andrea Sveda added a three-run single, and had four strikeouts in two innings pitched.

For Whirley, Madison Mohney tripled, Mattison Wallin had a two-run double and Delaney Chase also doubled.
