Corry wins scholastic trap title

Corry defended its Warren County Scholastic Trapshooting League title with a perfect 6-0 record after a 169-161 win over Warren Blue this week.

Sheffield and Warren White tied for second place, and Eisenhower finished third during the competitive season.

The Beavers received perfect 25X25 scores from both Dalton Sipes and Braden McClain, while Tyler Brundage, Evan Melnichak, Bret Marrs and Jacob Palmer all got scores of 24. Michael McDunn scored a perfect 25 for Warren Blue while Kyle Traut scored a 24.

Sheffield defeated Youngsville, 166-160. The Wolverines had a perfect score from Kyle Holden, and 24’s from Noah Heeter, Dustin Holden and Tyler Fitzgerald. Stone Sivak, Kris Wilcox and Noah Carlson all put up scores of 24 for the Eagles in their loss.

Eisenhower ended its season with a 164-141 victory over Tidioute. Jon Sheldon scored a 25 for the Knights, with Ethan Black, Steven Haner and Keith Niver each registering a 24. Aubrey Sonney led the way for Tidioute with a 23.

The Warren White team ended the season with a bye week, and finished with a 166. Nate Park had a 25, and Aaron Borger, Jack Donovan and Eric Cecco each scored 24.

The league’s Field Day will take place on Tuesday at the Sugar Grove AmVets.
