Kyle Chase Johnson, age 23 of Pittsburgh, died on Sunday, May 5, while competing in the Pittsburgh half marathon. Kyle was the son of Dan Johnson, Esq. and MaryBeth Deal, both of Pittsburgh. Cherished grandson of Eleanor and the late Darrell Johnson of Russell and Martin and Anne Kasaback, Sheffield. He graduate from North Allegheny High School where he was a defensive lineman on the 2007 undefeated football team. He also sang in the Chamber Choir. A graduate of Penn State University in 2012, he was a member of the Lion Ambassadors and active in THON. He had been employed at Deloitte Touche accounting firm. Memorials may be made to Penn State University, 1 Old Main, University Park, PA 16802 to benefit the Lions Ambassadors in memory of Kyle.

Services were held at St. John Neumann Church on Thursday, May 9, 2013.

Kyle’s image has been painted on the Inspiration Mural at State College by artist Michael Pilato, who said, “He was a model student, a leader, a great Lion Ambassador and a guy who always went out of his way to help people. Today I painted a young man who makes me want to improve myself.”
