Aggravated Assault/Terroristic Threats/Simple Assault. Warren-based state police responded to the Warren Area High School lower parking lot on May 9 at 3:33 p.m. for a reported emergency situation involving a fully loaded school bus (K-12 graders). According to the police report, a nine year-old female from Warren was told several times by the bus driver to sit in her assigned seat but refused. This same student was then encountered by a 17 year-old female from Warren to moved to her assigned seat so the bus could leave. The nine year-old refused to move and pulled a pair of pointed scissors and proceeded to point them at and threaten the 17 year-old with physical harm. The investigation continues. Officers were assisted on scene by Warren City Police Officers.
Simple Assault. Warren-based state police responded to Garden Lane on May 9 at 8:35 p.m. for a simple assault. According to police, Robert Nelson and John Jarjabka Jr., both of Warren, went to the trailer where John Crowl III was staying and assaulted him. The incident occurred because a third party told the two accused individuals Crowl has struck her in the face. Charges are to filed in District Magistrate Bauer’s Office.

Criminal Mischief. Warren-based state police report an unknown individual put a screw into the side wall of a tire on a vehicle belonging to a Fox Hill Rd. resident. According to police, the incident occurred sometime between April 1 and April 23. Damage is estimated to be approx. $250. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police or Warren Co. Crime Stoppers.
Retail Theft. Youngsville Police are investigating a retail theft that occurred at approx. 7 p.m. on May 2 at the Kwik Fill in the Borough of Youngsville. The police have identified a known suspect and charges are pending further investigation.
