HS TRAP: Corry inches closer to high school trap title

Corry is one step closer to a Warren County Scholastic Trap League championship after posting a 168-165 victory over Eisenhower in league competition on Tuesday.

The Beavers (5-0) got perfect scores of 25 from Jon Dietz and Dalton Sipes in keeping pace in their quest for a league championship. Eisenhower was consistent in the loss, getting scores of 24 from Ethan Black, Dylan Seekins, Dylan Saullo and Jon Shelton.

In other action, Warren White was a 170-166 victor over Youngsville. Nathan Onuffer and Cody Gunn were perfect for the winners while the Eagles got 24’s from Zach Bush, Logan Morrison, Alex Johnson, Jacob Lauffenburger and Thomas Henry in defeat.

Sheffield was on bye this week and finished with a 167. The Wolverines were led by the 25’s of Zach Anderson, Travis Peterson and Daniel Pierson.

This week’s scheduled match between Tidioute and Warren Blue was postponed due to a school trip planned at Tidioute. The match will be made up later this week.
