Arrested. Pennsylvania State Constables arrested Alicia Jeanette Polley-Viator, 37, 2867 Cobham Park Rd., on May 6 for failure to respond to a bench warrant. Charges on the warrant include driving without license, insurance, inspection and registration. She was taken before District Magistrate Glenn Carlson; release is pending further court actin.

Columbus Twp.

Arrest. Corry-based state police reported that on May 8 at 10 a.m. an arrest was made in conjunction with an arrest warrant that had been issued by the Roxbury Township Police Department in New Jersey. Police said Joe Paszkowski, 64, Columbus Township, was charged with one count of arrest prior to requisition and will be extradited back to New Jersey to face undisclosed criminal charges. Paszkowski had a preliminary hearing before District Justice Glenn Carlson and was committed to the Warren County Jail.

Conewango Twp.

Theft. Warren-based state police reported that at 3:04 p.m. on May 3 at Wal-Mart, Christie A. Eddie, 40, and William R. Finch, 36, both of Jamestown, N.Y., were apprehended with approximately $1,400 in merchandise. They were taken into custody and charges were filed.

Glade Twp.

Crash. Warren-based state police responded to a crash at 7:15 p.m. on May 6 on Hatch Run Road. According to police, Shellee L. Irwin, 43, Warren, was westbound on Hatch Run Road in a 2009 Honda CRV, following a 2002 Dodge Dakota operated by Jonathan T. Fitzgerald, 48, Warren. Police said as Fitzgerald attempted to turn right into the Hatch Run Conservatory, Irwin’s vehicle struck the rear of his vehicle, causing it to be pushed approximately 25 feet into the Conservatory’s parking lot. No injuries were reported. Police said Irwin was charged with following too closely through District Justice Laura Bauer’s office.

Mead Twp.

Arrested. Pennsylvania State Constables Office arrested Matthew M. Gathers, 25, 250 School St., Tiona, at 9:30 a.m. May 8 on a bench warrant. He had been charged with operating vehicle without insurance and driving an unregistered vehicle. He was taken before District Justice Glenn Carlson, paid fines and costs and was released.

Retaliation. Warren-based state police reported that at 10:30 p.m. on April 19, Bethany L. Christensen, 28, Sugar Grove, was charged with retaliation against witness, victim or party. Police said the victim is a known 18-year-old of Sugar Grove. The charge was filed with District Justice Cynthia Lindemuth.

Sugar Grove Twp.

Burglary. Warren-based state police reported that between 12:01 a.m. on Nov. 6, 2012 and noon on May 7 in the area of Pleasant Street someone made unlawful entry into a known 71-year-old man’s residence and garage. Several firearms, along with other items with a total estimated value of $10,000 were taken. Anyone with information is asked to call the Warren State Police or Crime Stoppers.


Crash. Warren-based state police reported that between 8:30 p.m. on May 5 and 7:15 a.m. on May 6, on Route 6 at its intersection with Railroad Street, a crash occurred when an unknown vehicle left the western berm of Route 6 and struck a traffic sign and a plastic 55-gallon drum. Anyone with information is asked to call the state police.
