Railroad Street in Youngsville will be closed from 6 p.m. to 3 a.m. for water line replacement and road milling through May 31. Call the borough office for more information, 563-4604.
May’s recycle date in Youngsville has been changed to Wednesday, May 22, due to the Memorial Day Holiday. The borough office will be closed Monday, May 27. Monday’s garbage pickup will be Tuesday, May 28, and Tuesday’s garbage pickup will be Wednesday, May 29.
Hemlock Road in Glade Township (from approximately 30 feet west of Island Lane to the end of Hemlock Road) will be closed to all traffic on Monday, May 13, for a sluice pipe replacement. Rain date will be Tuesday, May 14.
A spring clean-up day for Pine Grove Township residents will be held on Saturday, May 18, from 8 a.m. to noon at the township garage.
No oil, paint or liquid hazardous waste, asbestos, propane tanks, yard waste, household garbage, batteries, tires or electronics will be accepted. The cost will be $5 for cars and vans; $10 for pick-up trucks and trailers.

The 2013 Warren County Memorial Day service will be held in Youngsville.
The event will begin at 10 a.m. with a parade to the Youngsville Cemetery followed by the ceremony of the Salute to the Dead – the reading of the names of the veterans who died in the past year.
AMVETS Post 50 is hosting the event in cooperation with Youngsville American Legion Post 658.
Changing the location of the event from the City of Warren “was a consensus of the Warren County Veterans Council.”
“The host organization (is authorized) to hold ceremonies in various locations throughout the county at their discretion,” according to a letter from Gary Fry of AMVETS Post 50 and Edgar Burris, president of the veterans council.
