Older Adult Day
The Warren County YMCA will once again hold an “Active Older Adult Day” on Wednesday, May 15. This day is set aside for active older adults to try out various classes at the YMCA. Health information and testing will be held in the lobby. All activities are free to any older adult in Warren County. Classes begin at 8:15 a.m. and end at 1:45 p.m. Programs that will be offered are: Short Circuit Plus, Bouncing for Fitness, Swimnastics, Wave Runners, Body Pump, Silver Sneakers, Group Cycle Class and the Arthritis Aquatics class. Programs May 13
Link will offer two programs at the Allegheny Community Center on Monday, May 13, from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. The programs will be “Nursing Home Transition” presented by Bud Nolan and Michelle Brown from Experience Inc. (1:30 to 2 p.m.) and “Assistive Technology” presented by Jamie Agresti from Community Resources for Independence (2 to 2:30 p.m.). Light refreshments will be served.
A benefit dance for Warren County Crime Stoppers will be held from 8 to 11 p.m. Saturday, May 11, at Youngsville Fire Hall with music by Ron Carrington Sr. and Touch of Gold. Donation will be $15 for a couple, $8 for single. Participants should take their own beverage.
Circle Eight to
The Circle Eight Square Dance Club will dance from 8 to 10:30 p.m. Saturday, May 11, in the auditorium at Warren State Hospital, North Warren. Caller will be Norm Shaffor.
The Slovenian Polka Boosters will dance from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, May 12, at the St. Marys Moose Club. The Polka Quads of Steelton, N.Y., will provide music for all types of dancing. The public is invited to this Mother’s Day event. For information, call Paul Leofsky at 563-7516.
