Robert L. Belleau, 86, of Warren, PA, died at his residence Sunday morning, May 5, 2013 after declining health. He was born November 2, 1926 in Salem, Mass. to the late Adelard and Amelia Morin Belleau. He has resided in Warren since 1957 and was a 1944 graduate of Salem High School, Salem, Mass. He had served with the U.S. Navy during World War II. Robert was employed by Loranger Manufacturing, in charge of Building and Maintenance for over 30 years, retiring in 1989. He was a member of St. Joseph R.C. Church, where he was a Eucharistic minister and had served on the board of directors of the St. Joseph R.C. Cemetery. He was a volunteer with Lifeline and served as a consultant with S.C.O.R.E. He was a member of the Lakewood Rod and Gun Club and North Warren Men’s Breakfast Club. He was an avid baseball fan and enjoyed traveling. He was all about his family; he especially enjoyed boating, swimming, and spending all the time he could with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Claire Dion Belleau, whom he married May 26, 1951 at St. Joseph R.C. Church in Salem, Mass., 2 Sons John R. Belleau and wife, Cheryl, Glenn M. Belleau and wife, Mary, all of Warren, PA, 8 Grandchildren, 6 GreatGrandchildren, and several niece and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Sister Priscilla Coniskey.
Friends may call at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, PA on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 from 6 to 8 PM, where a vigil service will be conducted at 5:45 PM.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph R.C. Church with Fr. Richard J. Toohey, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph R.C. Cemetery.
