Mead Twp.

Crash. Warren-based state police responded to a two-vehicle accident on US 6 at the intersection with Cherry Grove Road on April 30. A 1978 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by William Fiscus, Sheffield, was traveling west and attempting to make a left hand turn from US 6 onto Cherry Grove Road. Fiscus pulled directly into the path of a 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer, driven by Renee Bloom, Kane, that was traveling eastbound, causing the vehicles to hit head on. Fiscus’ vehicle spun counter-clockwise, coming to final rest on the roadway. Bloom’s vehicle continued east, crossed the travel lanes and struck an embankment. The occupants of both vehicles, including a 15-year-old female and a 13-year-old male in Bloom’s vehicle, sustained minor to moderate injuries. They were transported to Warren General Hospital for treatment. Both vehicles were towed from the scene by PennMark. Clarendon VFD assisted at the scene.
