Corry in control in scholastic trap

Corry took control of the 2013 Warren County Scholastic Trap League season on Tuesday by winning a battle of the unbeatens with Sheffield, 168-163.

The two teams had entered the competition tied for first place with three wins each, but Corry now stands alone in first-place. Tyler Kinney and Dalton Sipes were perfect for the Beavers while Noah Heeter, Tyler Fitzgerald and Travis Peterson all finished with 24’s for Sheffield.

In other competition, Eisenhower topped Warren Blue, 170-154 and Warren White beat Tidioute, 157-127. Youngsville was on bye and finished with a score of 161.

The Knights’ 16-shot win was highlighted by the perfect scores of Elijah Trawick, Grant Gates, Steven Haner and Ethan Black. Warren Blue was led by Dan Henry with a 24.

Aaron Borger and Mark Cecco each busted 24 targets for Warren White in their big victory over Tidioute. Brian Bonner’s 23 paced Tidioute. Youngsville’s bye week featured a high score of 24 from John Mack.
