GLENN MCCLAIN

Glenn Robert (Jack) McClain, 82, of 217 Central Ave., Titusville, PA and formerly of Fagundas, PA, died Tuesday evening, April 30, 2013 at his residence after an extended illness. He was born October 22, 1930 in Indian Head, Fayette County, PA, a son of the late George and Elizabeth Seece McClain. He was a 1948 graduate of Connellsville, PA high school, attended Penn State, Stubenville Ohio Tech, and various other colleges. He was a licensed Explosive Engineer and superintendent of many building and highway projects. He was also a City Councilman for the City of Manassas Park, VA. He was most proud of his Missionary trips to Mexico and his work with Bud Annis in starting the Promise Keepers at his church the Tionesta Church of God. He was a member of the West Hickory United Methodist Church and attended the Tionesta Church of God for the last ten years of his life. He was a past member of the Lions Club of Manassas Park, VA, the Masonic Lodge and a Worthy Patron of the Eastern Star.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Donald Garrison, a granddaughter, a greatgrandson, five sisters, and four brothers.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Jean (Manross) McClain, who he married June 9, 1951 in the West Hickory Church, three daughters; Mrs. Peter (Jacklyn) Schillinger , Pleasantville, PA, Mrs. Walter (Marian) Forshee, Bemis Point, NY, Mrs. Eddie (Kim) Yarnivic, Benwood, West VA, a daughterin law, Mrs. George (Frances) Wimer, Fagundas, PA, a brother, Harry and his wife Margie McLain, Williamsport, PA, fifteen grandchildren and twentyone great grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the James M. Higgins Funeral Home, 3 Elm St., Tidioute, PA, Friday, May 3rd, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. A funeral service will be conducted in the Tionesta Church of God, Rt. 36 South, Saturday afternoon at 1:00 o’clock, with Rev. David Hart officiating.

Interment will follow in Fagundas Cemetery.
