AOC to kayak

On Saturday, May 4, the Allegheny Outdoor Club will kayak or canoe 10 miles on the Clarion River, from Portland Mills to Hallton. Bring your lunch and water. Also, your craft will need current boat registration to launch. Participants will meet at Howe’s True Value at 10 a.m. If the weather turns cool-under 60 degrees, or rainy please call the event leader to see if the float will be canceled. Win at bridge

Winners of Monday’s duplicate bridge game at the YMCA were Doug Megill and Lana Creal, first with 10.5; Hal and Mary Conarro, second with 8; and Marge Polito and Carol Lake, third with 7.5.

K of C to meet

The Warren K of C will meet Thursday, May 2 at 8 p.m. at the clubhouse.

Tea Party to meet

The Warren County Tea Party will hold its May monthly general meeting Thursday, May the 2 at 7:00 PM, at Thorne’s BiLo Community Room.

Class to lunch

Warren High School Class of 1940 will have lunch at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, May 1, at Bob Evans in North Warren.

Ham and leek dinner

A ham and leek dinner will be held Saturday May 4 from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Spring Creek Fire Hall, seven miles east of Corry, Pa. on Rt. 426. Children five and under are free, $5 for ages six to 12, $9 ages 13 and up. The dinner is buffet style with homemade desserts with take outs available. The dinner is sponsored by The West Spring Congregational Church.

Polka Sunday

The Slovenian Polka Boosters will dance from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, May 6, at the Ridgeway Moose. Dan Peters and Orchestra of Cleveland, OH., will provide music for all types of dancing. The public is invited. For information, call Paul Leofsky at 563-7516.
